Folk Redlands Concert
When:
Sunday afternoons
Where: Meeting room (air conditioned) at IndigiScapes
Enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon listening to Celtic, Anglo and Australian folk music from local and imported artists. The Folk Redlands Acoustic Music Club holds afternoon concerts every first and third Sunday of the month. We invite anyone with a folk/acoustic musical talent to put their name down on the blackboard and play for 20 minutes between 2pm-4pm. At 4pm, we feature our headline artist(s) who are typically well-known artist(s) from the folk/acoustic music fraternity and are a paid act. Free admission. Wheelchair friendly. Adjoining tea rooms are open for refreshments, served either outside on the deck or inside (BYO).

Sustainable Energy Solutions in the Home
When: Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 at 6.30pm-9.30pm or Saturday 27 at 9.00am-12.00pm
Where: IndigiScapes
Cost: $5 plus a $25 deposit, refundable on the day
To celebrate Earth Hour 2010 we will be hosting a workshop on energy sustainability in the home, focusing on housing design, energy efficient appliances, solar water and solar power. These talks will be full of great ideas you can take back to your home. Each workshop is the same and repeated for your convenience, so you only need to book once. Cultivating Native Bonsai
When: Saturday 8 at 9.30am-12.30pm
Where: IndigiScapes
Cost: $5 plus a $25 deposit, refundable on the day
Start cultivating your own native bonsai. You will learn shaping, wiring and pruning techniques and also have the opportunity to view a show of native bonsai from the Redlands Bonsai Society. Trees, pots, wire and soil will be provided. Please bring along a sharp pair of scissors (around 10-15cm long). Call IndigiScapes on 3824 8611 to book. Bookings essential.
Introduction to Nature Photography
When: Saturday 22 at 8.30am-11.30am
Where: IndigiScapes
Cost: $5 plus a $25 deposit, refundable on the day
Join professional photographer Michael Snedic for an introduction to the do’s and don’ts of taking great nature photographs. We will look at light and composition for all aspects of nature photography and will have a particular focus on keeping it simple (whether you own a point-and-shoot or a digital SLR camera). The morning will incorporate a short classroom tuition, in the field tuition and a short audio-visual.

World Environment Day Awards

Do you know someone who is a champion for our local environment? Show your support by nominating them for a World Environment Day award. With categories for individuals, schools and businesses, this is a great way to recognise those people in our community and ensure their efforts do not go unnoticed. Check out our website and local papers for nomination details throughout April.
Indigi Day Out
When: Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 10.00am- 4.00pm
Where: IndigiScapes
This is our biggest annual event with a great music, delicious food, environmental stalls and thousands of native plants for sale, all set in the beautiful botanic gardens of IndigiScapes. A great event for the whole family with face painting, games and animal displays for the kids - all free! Incorporates the Redlands Folk Music Festival.
Native Bees
When: Sunday 13 9.30am-3.30pm
Where: IndigiScapes
Cost: $5 plus a $25 deposit, refundable on the day
All you ever needed to know about native stingless bees and how to start and maintain your own hives. Get in early for this one as we usually book out fast! Call IndigiScapes on 3824 8611 to book. Bookings essential.

Managing Fire and Native Vegetation on Your Property
When: Saturday 3 at 9.30am-2.30pm
Where: IndigiScapes
Cost: $5 plus a $25 deposit, refundable on the day
Prepare yourself for bushfire season. This workshop will cover your obligations, practical fire management measures around the home, vegetation types and their fire regimes and resources available to you. We will also visit a pre and post burn site and view a practical demonstration of fire suppression and Personal Protective Equipment. Don’t miss this important opportunity.
