Pest Management Plan
Thank you for your feedback on draft Pest Management Plan 2010-2014
Submissions on draft Pest Management Plan 2010-2014 have now closed. Thank you for your feedback. Under the Land Protection (Pest and Stock Route Management) Act 1994, Council is required to develop a pest management plan and review it every four years. The plan will provide clear guidelines on how Council manages pests (introduced plants and animals) in the city.
Council will now review the plan based on community input from the submissions and public meeting held during the submission period.
Council adopted the Pest Management Plan 2006-2010 on 29 March 2006 after endorsement from the Queensland government. Working groups incorporating a wide cross-section of stakeholders were established to provide advice. Local and regional working groups contributed simultaneously to the development of this plan. A number of public submissions were received from 23 May to 20 June 2006.
